I spun it 180... So ended up facing the wrong way on a local road. I was a bit to quick through a tight turn and lost it. Speed was not that high so i luckily managed to avoid bumping the side to a tree...

They had them at Tire Rack when I bought my tires.
Lighted gauge is handy. Like the bleed valve

You guys are making me jealous! I like the silver hood badge and the clever breather plumbing.
All I've done this year is pay for the plates and put on a 2011 sticker. Well that and ordered some parts.

Race Car
Got the call from the shop today that the S4 is back up and running better than ever! Get to play with my first Porsche love tomorrow! YEA!!! New Tranny works GREAT (thanks Mark A and 928 International for the 1/2 price sale in December), the seats look BETTER THAN EVER (thanks Greg with ColorGlo!) and the CDR220 looks AWESOME (and it sounds so-so...have a buzzing we can figure out... but the CD player works, the iPod connects and the face plate is visible...ALL THANKS TO Jim C!!!). The paint has always looked good on this car...now I need a deep cleaning of some kind for the Linen carpets and the car will be OVER THE TOP! Oh, also need the intake refinished...loooks like crap.

I sat and I waited and waited and waited.
The "Denver" car that I bought last week will be here on MONDAY. The heavy snow in Denver kept it from being picked up as soon as I would have liked.
Can't wait! I'll start a thread with pics and my first impressions as soon as I can tear myself away from it.

I have only had leather work done by ColorGlo...nothing else. Love to see what they can do to carpets and am considering letting them take a shot at the dash in the '84 at some point...

Drove it. Stoppd at Harbor Freight and Home Depot. Trimmed the front toe a little since the nose is still settling. Will probably trim the rear toe/thrust angle some.
In my zeal to get rid of a little front tire scrubbing/crabbing at full lock, I readjusted front caster back to original '86-91 settings. Gary Knox, this is the problem we discussed a bit at OCIC, Anyway, that took care of the base problem, but now the car has a greater tendency towards the right on even gently sloping/crowned roads. The rear thrust angle is off just a hair, so I'll get that dialed in before I start tweaking the left side caster up. Doing it just with caster makes the RF tire wear a little funny on the outside rib, similar to a car with too much toe-in but just on the one side.
Tomorrow is a back-yard mountaineering day, when I get to put the harness on and dangle over the cliiff to replace some drain lines that run down to the public street some 50' below. I did this when we bought the house nine years ago, so by my estimates I'll be too damn old to do it next time it needs it.

Drove the **** out of it... Old San Jose Rd at 0630, clear track, fresh rubber, recent mods not tested until this morning... to Alameda. Then the turn around that evening in stop and go, then twisties, and back to the stable. 160 miles, no runs, no drips, no errors. Like a shark swimming through a school of tuna.

I washed mine yesterday, in anticipation that I will drive it 1o miles to breakfast.

I got one of these, makes filling and maintaining equal pressure very easy:

As usual, I broke something that probably didn't need fixing anyway, and so now I'm waiting for the replacement part, that probably will be no more successful in fixing the problem than if I'd just left it original alone in the first place.
And of course that happened on a Friday nite, so now the shark is down for the weekend and into next week but I'll be so busy that I won't be able to get to replacing previous unbroken part until Friday, when the cycle will begin anew.
No wonder my car is low miles, eh?
