I recently replaced those hoses myself. If your car is like mine, look at where they may contact the tunnel, where they had a protective "overcoat". I saw wear, so I made sure to restore the protection.

Thanks Curt., I may have to find something to cover them with because the stuff that was on the old ones was quite rotten. Maybe I'll put some heat shrink doubled up on them.

finished carpet install on Lili. Working on Headliner droop in front and rear. With a replacement cover for over the spare, the rear is complete, as are driver's and passenger's side doorcard installations. Dashboard and pod are recovered in vinyl. keeping the driver's seat out as I wrestle with the absolute worse job I have ever done so far on this car, installing the clutch master cylinder.

Bled the brakes post replacing the brake booster on the Stepson. It appears that the brake booster was leaking vacuum, thereby causing the FPR, fuel dampeners, and vacuum advance on the distributor to not work correctly, thereby causing the Stepson to not start after being previously started. It also caused the Stepson to run bad and the brakes to not work well.

Happy to report that the Stepson is a beast again and the brakes work well now.

Gday Ken! that looks very neat and tidy, are they Kevlar? Website to find them?

As you and I have discussed previously, our roads here in NZ are “gritted” during heavy frosts/snow in winter, resulting in a healthy sandblasting during a nice winters day drive, hence why my car has all corners protected with these “flare guards”

Pulled her out of the garage for air...

Spent some time working on the AC system. Replaced the dryer which required me to pull and clean the front fan and then the whole condenser which resulted in finding a screw jammed under the radiator which required me to remove the radiator and check it....

On the positive side all new R134a seals on the front hoses. Next up will be to replace the seals and drain the compressor, followed by reloading it with oil and finding any more leaks. Found at least one schrader valve may be leaking under a vacuum test, so will put on new 134a conversion fittings.

Never dull..

Took the cover off and went for a ride. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to have this car that has never lived outside of Arizona. No rust, no corrosion.

Started it for the first time this year.
Let it warmed up until the fans turn on.
Everything looks good.
Ready for another Summer...
