Changed the steering rack bushings today.

A first for me.

Let's say that it would be faster if I would need to do another car tomorrow... Those cars are not easy to work on... At least for me!

Tie rods next on the list.

Got MAF back from Roger after being checked...they dialed it back a smidge (industry term). Put that back on ...new Temp II and then drove it like I stole it ...till it started to rain

Next 3 days...of rain..

Drove it for the first time this year!

I did about 200 miles today with our local PCA club.

Still running good.

I love driving the 928.

Default Return to stock

Updated the interior by returning the freshly stitched factory steering wheel back to it's proper home. things are looking much more OE inside - except for those gauge bezels which I do like.
Momo Melinieum 350mm - for sale soon
Back to stock

i also spent some time modifying this phone magnetic holder to fit between the hvac and the stereo

Well, I compared the door sills to the '79 parts car, I'd change them out, but I can't bring myself to drill out the black rivits.
btw, a neighbor kid was over today, ...quote, "you have two... Porsches?, I thought it was a Ferrari or something." ,
, I didn't know what to say.

You sure that's a MOMO wheel. Looks like it might be a Luisi. Like the gauge bezels - I have the same ones.

Cleaned a coffee can full of nuts and bolts.

Sort-of aligned the car so the centering dot shows in the window with steering wheel horizontal.

Cleaned some grounds.

I drove from London to the Nurburgring in Germany, on the way I stopped off in Spa Francorchamps, Belgium, and saw a fully restored Lancia Stratos. The owner was kind enough to talk with me about the car, which of course was only one of an impressive car collection.

Then a few hours later when I was in Adenau I saw another genuine Stratos, yesterday I'd never seen one on the road before, then I see two the same day, in different countries!

Evaluated Temp II Sensor
Room temp - 2.9k ohms
Operating temp - 290 ohms

I include all things big and little in this thread for it acts as a retrievable backup to my procedure/maintenance log I keep.

Hand painting the center caps for the phone dials. Want them to look nice with new rubber.
