One thing I am trying to do today is change the sunroof switch. My tablet does not let me search so can someone help me with removal. I have had the windows switches replaced so I have done the job but if someone can give me a quick removal guide I would really appreciate it.

I couldn't resist the temptation to see what it would look like, so I installed the decal. When I was done I red the replies from a couple of Rennlisters who suggested that I do without the decal. Don't hold it against me guys! I kinda like the look.

Raining in the ATL all day so knocked out several little projects. Was missing one of the two horns and after some help from Kevin_in_Atlanta found that the mounting stud for 2nd horn was gone. Fabricated another mount from an "L" bracket I had on hand. It actually turned out pretty well.
Next decided to paint my headlight buckets as they were starting to peel pretty bad from the POs earlier really bad paint job. BTW old springs work great to hold them for painting!
Last I installed the 928 Motorsports skid plates. This is without a doubt the easiest upgrade I have ever done! 15 minutes and the front end is now a much safer place!
All in all not a bad day in the garage. Now time for some basketball and a beer

I finally finished* my carpet install. I had this weird fantasy where I managed to install the center tunnel carpet without removing the seats, which of course was silly. So today I took out the seats, cleaned them up a bit while they were out, and finished that carpet install. I ran some wires for when I get the Sharkwoofer and amp for the spare tire well while I was at it. Honestly, no one is ever going to hire me as a professional auto carpet installer, but it's done, and the old, faded carpet is history. I had trouble getting the center tunnel piece in properly, but most of those issues are not easily visible. All things considered, I'm pleased. The damn car may still run like crap, but the carpet is all new lol...
*I say finished, but the pieces on the rear seat backs are not actually done. I'll get around to it, but those pieces look fine and I never really see them anyway, so I'll get to it when I get to it.

straps
I bought 4 new air box straps ($250.00) to replace the old ones that were way too loose. I originally tried tightening them by changing the bend in the metal clamp... but that really didn't work. Then I thought I would shorten the metal and bend the end of the metal clamp to form a new hook like it was before...big mistake...every time I tried to bent the end to form a hook...the metal would break...
Well the Air Box is nice and tight now!!

Spring cleaning...
...Cleaning parts out of my apartment, that is!
So far for this weekend I've installed...
New Hatch Lock Assembly Upper, Hatch Lock Lower Sleeve, New/Used Hatch Seal, New/Used & Rekeyed Fuel Cap, and New Fuel Filler Flap (aka low hanging fruit).
Steering Wheel, Turn Signal/Cruise Cluster, Pod & Instrument Cluster are off for new leather on steering wheel and DeOxit & Revenge of the Dremel and new light bulbs where appropriate... LEDs are on shopping list, but would like to see how well I can get regular lights to work.
Other To-Do's for weekend? Console Removal & refurbish, Hushmatting, new re-keyed PS door lock, PS door stay and new vacuum pods (after some testing with the MityVac?)...
