Jeff, Be very careful with that 3 wheel, single leg engine stand.
I got the heavyier 4 wheel, twin leg and I am glad because when the engine is fully dressed it is heavy and your stand can tip over very easy.
Just don't want you to get hurt or for any damage to happen to your engine or car.
Be careful turning engine!

Have Fun
Brad

Bought some home garage supplies. Floor jack, jack stands, telescoping mirror (to check trans fluid), folding tire iron, hand pump w/tubing to get trans fluid where it needs to go. Now I think I'll go admire it for 5 mins or so!

Good advice and gosh dang that is a pretty and clean engine! Hopefully, I'll be there in the next 6 months.

Pulled out a picture., just over 1 year ago - when i shipped my daughter my 84 Euro from San Diego to East Coast, after a complete refresh, repaint and just about everything else. Now she is being deployed ( Air Force) , so i get to go out every month or so and drive it and make sure it is ready when she comes back.

Let a customer borrow my car so he could get around while I worked on it and there was an issue with a tire.

But I fixed it and now there should be no further issues.

Now is the time to take that A/C hose that attaches to the expansion valve, threads all the way to the front as a hard line, and when it gets to the coil on the passenger side it turns in to a rubber hose. Pull that out and get it rebuilt before the engine goes back in.

Sean, any damn fool knows if you do not wrap the tape all away around the tire it is going to be out of balance.

Default Anti-tamper Plate

I learned today why they call it an anti-tamper plate. In replacing the broken driver side door opening hinge, I found the hardest part to be getting the anti-tamper plate off. I now have a plate available at no cost for anyone crazy enough to put it on.
