86.5' in Jax may be good parts car or project

Hello everyone,

In my search for a new to me car in hopes of tripping over a good deal on a shark to stop the crying into the pillow at night because I miss my previous ones. I thought I had found the golden ticket the other day. Only to find out that it wasn't even a wonka bar. :icon501:

He did say that it was an 86.5' during the short conversation.

Don't be mislead as I was by the ad or by my first call to him. It does not run and he thinks it is the Timing belt, because when he turns it over the timing belt doesn't turn. or course he failed to mention this during the first call. :o

He also said on the phone that the interior was shot, tears, cracked dash etc. But, it was garaged kept for the last 11 yrs and weekend car.

Anyways, cost seems too high, but maybe someone could get him down to a good price for the parts.

Regards,

No engine running, its a parts car... a cleanly washed parts car...at that!

You can buy a set of 85/86 heads for around $150 have them resurfaced, and then bolt them on. You don't see many 928s with odd colors like that. I would say save it if you can buy it cheap.
Offer him $800 and see what happens.
Is it an Automatic?
