I decided I'm going to mock up radial mount 4-pot Wilwoods for the rears and guess I need to start a thread on that project. For now the biggest question I have is if the S4 rear trailing arms are the same as the S rear trailing arms?

No the mounting point for the caliper is not the same offset. When S-4 calipers are used on S arm you need a spacer to center the caliper on the S-4 rotor moves it in toward the trans about 1/4 to 3/8 of an inch. Otherwise much the same just some reinforcement on later arms.

Axis, those look great. Thanks for the taking dimensions/fitment. What Caliper paint did you use?

For the rear Wilwood Dynapro adapters, I'm waiting on Ed to reply on fitment to his 928S using the S4 rotor. It's spot-on for the 944/951 using the S4 rotor (same as 951 rear rotor)....Still plenty of bridge meat after 928 brake cable clearancing too for the same adapter...

Default Rear Wilwoods

Looking Good!!!!!!!! Here's a picture of the setup. The side you marked, needed to be facing outward. I removed the dust shield bolts so the adapter will fit but didn't have to remove the dust shields. I was able to secure the front of the dust shield with metal ties. I didn't put the pads in yet.

Great. How much clearance is there at the cable boss?

To confirm, the side I marked should mount to the arm/ears.

Yes, the marked side faces outward and juxtaposed to the "ears". There's more than adequate clearance for the cable bosses.

For the fronts with the Wilwoods, do the calipers stick out further from the wheel mounting face then the stock S calipers? Reason I ask is I have Cup 2 17 x 8 et 70 front wheels I am planning on using and I was wondering if they will clear? They clear the stock S brakes just fine.

As soon as you have the rear adapter ready, I'm in for a set of adapters front and back plus the centering rings. 85s. Will send a PM.

To center the rotor, there is no provision on the Cayenne rotors for the locating screws used on the standard 928 rotors.
No rings makes for a sloppy fit when it is only the 5 wheel studs positioning it.

that doesnt work that well and would not be reliable. you need a machine shop to find the pefect spot for the holes too. the ring is the answer, then you know its centered.

No you don't.. you just lay a standard disc on top of the cayenne disc pop a centre on the 2 holes and drill and csk. about 15 mins work. porsche didn't use center rings on oem discs and they have a larger bore?
