I bet they would really be pissed to see the technical change to the engine compartment

I finally got the final design down. These were the most difficult adapters to program on my Hurco 3-axis and had to build a jig for a mirror-image setup as they are relieved for caliper inset on opposite sides. Passenger sides are done....

And if you have ABS, I redesigned them to clear the sensor....

Why do the pads sit so high on the rotor?
I really do not know, but it would seem it would be better to have the pads cover all of the friction surface of the rotor?

Seems like I have seen this on a few types of bigger brake set ups.

Swept area is a problem with efficiently using the surface you have..however..

DEEPER calipers cost a lot more, because you have to design against caliper spread..which means a bulkier hunk of metal..which needs larger wheels..etc.

The pad is out the outside of the rotor at least..where the leverage of a BBK plays in.

Its a tradeoff between $$$ and $$$$.

$140/pr Cayenne rotors
$500/pr Wilwood Hat rotors

Besides inexpensive rotors, the extra meat means more heat soak= less brake fade.
But this is really not the main point of the exercise. Bigger brakes without having to jack with suspension changeover is priceless. What would be the cost of doing the suspension change plus new Porsche calipers and rotors?

It's been awhile since I've checked into Wilwood or Colemwn Hats..... There are none available with 5 x 130 pattern, so blanks would have to be machined, then lightweight 2-piece 13" rotors are well into $400 for the pair. So realistically you're looking at $750 for custom hats and rotors. Defeats the purpose.

No he didn't. I haven't posted yet but I'm churning out the centering rings in 1018 steel for the GT3 swap. They are a little easier to hit the tolerance without overshooting. The dims are so small, the difference is just a couple grams

Also it is VERY important when you install the rings that the inner 0.0625" chamfer is facing the hub. I also updated the earlier post that the bolts required, weather hex or cap, need to be exactly

4ea....M12 x 1.5 x 40
4ea....M10 x 1.5 x 35

and the washers should only be 1/16" thick

This is due to the bolts all facing the rotors. Add Blue Loc-Tite as well.

Only 3 sets left of these adapters/alloy rings.

I started churning spare sets of 1018 steel centering rings. Fit ALL Cayenne 955 rotors with 85mm hub centers. Chamfered 45* for hub interfaces, only a few grams more than alloy, indestructible and less expensive...
$78 shipped priority to any US-48 ONLY
