Badges. Yes or No ?
If you have been following the "94 928 GTS Repaint & Delete" thread, you probably already know that the side marker lights, rear windshield wiper, front headlight squirters, sunroof, roof antenna, door rub strips, door locks, and rear bumperettes have been shaved. The only badging that remains on the car will be the front hood emblem, which will be in silver. The FM 5's are also a muted silver center with polished edges. I am thinking of adding a couple of cool european rally badges where the bumperettes used to live. I don't think this will be to blingy, because the badges are a muted silver and are of high quality and detail. The license plate is a custom ordered diamond plate style stamping that looks pretty cool and is also in a muted silver. I am also thinking about not attaching the "928 GTS" OEM logo on the rear bumper because the vanity license plate already reads: "GTS 94" Unfortunately along the bottom of the license plate it reads: "Texas Tough" kind corny in my opinion and that needs to be hidden. One option is a license plate frame with the logo: "There is no substitute" which will cover the existing "Texas Tough" Another option is a license plate frame with a small back up camera built right in that can will tie into the existing double din head unit, so no extra screen will be needed. If I flip the Boyo license plate camera upside down, this will also cover the existing "Texas Tough" along the bottom of the Texas license plate. The camera will remain fully adjustable upside down, and will still function properly. T

This might have to be an add-on for the carputer...

I would leave the 928 GTS off the back, the hood badge is all that needs to be said.

I like the idea of having the rear camera and plan to add this in the near future also. Is the lens adjustable? Some of the plate ones I've seen aim the lens down a little so if you flip it, it may be looking into the sky.
As to the badges I would skip them as I really like how the bumper delete turned out.
And for the GTS decal I'd leave it off and wait to see how many people ask you what it is even though it is spelled out on the plate. LOL

Did a Google search for back up camera's and after some research, the Boyo camera's seem to fit the bill. Purchased the Boyo model # VTL 200 for $ 137.68 with free ship @ Amazon. These camera's can be adjusted up or down manually at the camera. This license plate camera also comes with special locking hardware to make it a little more difficult for someone to steal the unit. Boyo makes several variations of these camera's, and many different types of finishes. They do not make exactly the finish I was after, so I ordered the chrome plated zinc, hoping to somehow dull the finish a bit with a medium steel wool. If that does not work, I'll just sand, prime & paint it to the desired finish & color. T

How about these ideas...
For when you put in your small block chebbie motor: 928 SBC
For those that don't know what model of 928 it is: 928 ???
To show the source of the ideas: 928 TNT
To show the cost of this little endeavor: 928 $$$ or 928 GT$
Of course, you'd have to get them in the regulation Porsche script font... perhaps with Nicole's help...

i personally like the look without the two metal plates. the backup camers is a neat novelty but its more for SUV's and larger vehicles. its your car and if you feel you would benifit from the camera then i say go for it.

GTS been used on many many cars including the Pepper and the 911 by Porsche. It has no real meaning to nearly everyone except a few who due to the reflector delete might assume it is just a modified S-4. Might as well leave it off since it adds nothing. I once sold 5 GTS badges to a guy with a 1979

You can see how starting with one little change leads to another change and another and another... you end up losing focus of the original intent and the car becomes a hodge podge of mods that on their singular own are cool... but when thrown together are incongruent at best. Kind of like that metallic orange 928 with Chevy crate motor, the clear Corvette hood treatment, 4-5 cameras, solid rear hatch, etc. -a real mess.

Leave the rally badges off, everything else sounds good.

Ditto, am looking forward to the 'reveal' and think it will be fantastic.
I think a normal issue plate might be more classy, too. But you have followed your vision so far and its really worked!

Why the rally badges? What do they have to do with a 928 or this 928? If you just want to fill the space left from the bumperettes, James's euro style license plate looks much better. You've gone to such lengths to smooth out the car by removing all the items you mentioned, why clutter the look with those rally badges?
