Badges. Yes or No ?

B, Going to wait until I get the car back and into different lighting conditions before making the final decision, but we are leaning toward the all silver badge as noted above. Also thought about painting the trim in a silver. Chuck Z's Blue Panamera's trim is a silver color (polished S/S?) and looks great. I think maybe a poll on trim color choice is in line. T

That... or get some HUGE bumperettes to fill in those new holes... like off a 914?
Also, auto design trends tend to ebb and flow... remember all of the chrome that was on cars in the 60's and 70's? Then, the trend was to do away with all chromed metal (for weight loss also)... now the 'bling' trend is back to offering chrome or polished metal. Guess we have those 'trendy rappers' with 24" rims and glue-on chrome accents to thank for this...
This is what would happen in the various trim scenarios:
*Black window trim: tends to blend in with windows (especially dark ones -see my avatar), making pillars look thinner and sleek.
*Body colored window trim: tends to create a definite separation from windows (of any tint), also makes pillars look thick & chunky.
*Chrome or polished S/S window trim: it blends in with NEITHER the windows or the body and creates an entirely separate design element... a dated one. Why do OB owners tend to move to 8" H5 lights? To do away with the chrome headlight ring mostly...

Tony, I am kind of surprised that you did not hit upon what I consider the obvious solution to the bumperette delete. Did you ever wonder why we have the bumperettes? Why they are not on the European and other cars? I think that is because the rear bunper cover was designed for the much wider license plates for all those other places; so when they came here where we have smaller narrower plates they filled in the gaps with these rubber bumpers. (I doubt that they were mandated by any crash compliance regulations.)
Just look at other cars with US only bumpers, like the Countach and F40. I doubt Lamborghini and Ferrari added those thinking the US market would find them visually appealing.
I love what you are doing with your bumper.
