The vehicle had a standard stereo amp for the stereo system. I do have one from '90 S4 that I can sell if you need one.

I am going on memory now, but I believe that there was a smallish black box that was connected to the radio phone. I will still have that - I neve throw that stuff away much to the dismay of my wife. Maybe that is what you are referring to for the 'amp', like an amp for the phone or something. I will check when I get home. I can send a pic of that, too.

OK, I feel pretty dumb. Looks like I sent it with the car when I sold it to Brent. The radio was not installed in the car, that was a Becker Porsche Unit. So I guess I threw it in so he could have the original parts.
