Has your shark bitten you before?

This has happened to me more than once so I bet its happened to others as well.

Posting this to see how many people have done the same thing.

Starts with not having the driver side door open fully.
You are working on something (as usual) and need to jump in the drivers seat to start the car, move the shifter, etc.

Because the door isn't open all the way, you whack your head on the top of the door window frame causing you to throw your head in the other direction..................................right into the sharp edge of the trim on the roofline....................LMAO!

So you have a whack on the left side of your head and your ear on the right feels like its just be cut in half! You fall into the driver seat yelling cusses in pain and just sit there wondering why you didn't just go have a beer instead.

So you do............................................lol

C'mon, I have done it at least 3 times over the years and I bet there are many others who have done it to!

'Fess Up!

You must be taller then me.
Hasn't happened yet but if it dose, the first thing I will think of is this post.

Umm, no never. Sorry, maybe you need to slow down?

Leon Speed 12-29-2010 04:22 PM

No, but I have hit my head on the hatch lock causing a gusher.

Not in the 928, yet, but once had the same incident in another car. And yes, it is painful.

No, it has never drawn blood, but it has about beat my bank account to death.

jeff spahn 12-29-2010 04:57 PM

Nope but I do something similar about a dozen times a year stepping out of my 25' Airstream. Door is lower than normal, smack the crown of my head as I step out. Wowzers does that hurt.

Carrying three small scars on my left wrist from when the wrench came loose (three times!) while I was adjusting the ride height. Yeah, it was the car's fault. ;)

If you're asking whether I've shed blood over that thing, HELL YEAH!

But I look at it like we are now brothers, bound till death do us part... He! He!

reaching down over the drivers side fender..wrench or ratchet on a bolt of the power steering pump... pulling up.. it lets go... I fly back... pick myself up...and look at the inner edge of the fender and see some "skin" ..and then look at my arm...

yea.. it drew blood..and I had to refrain from pounding that poor thin aluminum fender into oblivion...

And for some reason..every time I put the 928 on the lift at the shop, I always manage to whack my head on sway bar mounts or the front control arms...

I hope every one who bleeds a little bit from working on cars does not take it out on the car, it is just metal, it was your own actions that got you hurt, not some evil plan by bits of metal.

Leslie 928 S2 12-29-2010 10:34 PM

Whacked my head lots of times getting into the car and no excuse other than plain stupidity since I'm only 5'1" tall. Worse was the time I actually bruised my butt from throwing myself into the car too fast and sitting down too hard on the edge of a sport seat. Good god that hurt!!

Hi all! Been a long time. Thought I'd drop in and see how things are going. Good to see not much has changed! Lol.
