Default Glad to be back

Hey Gang,
After a couple of years away from the board (and the last few weeks lurking here), I'm back to reconnect with the community.

Long work hours and a second mistress ('05 Ducati 999R) kept me busy until the mistress decided to toss me onto the road one day. Two years later, the broken bones have healed, my lust for two wheeled Italian morgue machines has subsided and my passion for the 928 is stronger than ever.

My 86.5 auto has proudly surpassed the 225,000 mile mark and continues to be my daily driver (over ten years). Over these years, much appreciated, hands-on, help from the likes of Greg Brown, Bill Swift, Brian Donaldson, and Bill Ball...along with the info and support provided here have made my 928 ownership experience one of the positive highlights of my life.

I'm looking to forward to rejoining the discussion here and maybe even placing my hands on a familiar and "well sorted S4 5-speed" in the near future.

Is it coincidence that we have seen each other in our sharks about 2-3 times in the last couple of months and now we are both back to Rennlisting?

Good seeing you again D

What's up D? Cool to see you around here again. You going to ever make it back to NOLA? The black car is turbo'd up and ready for a ride when you are

Both of you Ojai guys should come to Cars & Coffee on Coast Village Road some Sunday

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Santa-...4273193?v=wall

Every Sunday that the roads are dry. I think the next one will be Jan 2nd, the earliest next one I will be at is Jan 9th, but more likely Jan 16th due to travel.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Lightning.

Hey Bernie...If you saw an unfamiliar 649 # on your home phone last week...that was me calling after we saw each other. Let's get together for 928 business soon.

Abby...I'm hoping to make it to the Fest this year, man. I can't believe you got turbos installed on that sweet machine of yours! Must howl like the wind. Glad to see you're still in the Big Easy after that big wet one. We should speak. You'd like what I've been up to lately out here in California.

Hiya Bronto...Thanks for the invite, brother. Are your SURE those Montecito types want my 25 year old 928 hogging up a parking space in The Village?

Glad you like the humor, Ducman. Know that I was riding that girl for all she was worth before the deal went down. She was not a Starbucks on Saturday bike....but rather a canyon carving ten speed bicycle with 150 hp and a ROAR like thunder. Have a peek at my profile photo. Cracking my back three times a day on the floor brings me back to my senses whenever I feel the lust beginning to call. Ride safe, my friend.

Yes. No doubt yours is better than mine, and mine is welcome. They are all car guys, regardless what they bring. Half are PCA SB members and appreciate all Porsches. It would be cool and coordinate a "shiver" of sharks showing up all at once. Maybe we could get Shawn to bring his stroker and Steve to bring his '80 Gold/Pascha Euro as well.

I was just yankin' your leg, Bronto. My Grandmother lives on Coast Village Rd. and my uncle lives on Picacho.
Let me know the next time you plan on making it (Jan. 9th?) and I'll be there, man.

You know I'm a faithful follower of the 86.5, Shane...I'm just not Orthodox.
I was considering checking out this one...http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false
However, a possible opportunity to acquire a truly exceptional S4 has presented itself. This is the one I intend to pursue unless she chooses to stay where she is. We'll see where fate takes it.

Ha! She's probably my neighbor, as I live at 1220.

That's the place. How hilarious. She's on the 3rd floor. Very short old lady that's always out walking her little black poodle.

I'm also back after five years of having my GT in storage. And my Norton Commando is only an ornamental piece. I prefer to do my riding on a mountain bike.

I know her, she's downstairs at the entrance every day when I get home from work. How funny. Wish her a merry christmas for me.
