Looks really cool; on the rotissory
Hi Stan,

Yes it will be re-sealed with seam sealer, and the insulation foam in the B and C-pillars will be replaced with 3M cavity foam.

Cheers!

I was thinking the cavities that the fenders abut to could be coated with the waxoil,
this will reduce or eliminate corrosion after its painted.

Thanks Stan,

So the waxoil gets applied on top of the paint/clear then? The entire car including underside and fender wells will be painted.

Cheers!
Carl

I can't see your pictures, and clicking on them takes me to a hosting site. Any way you can repost them directly here?

Cheers!

Making some progress on the paint and body modifications. Doors have the door lock delete done, and while I am waiting for the car to return, I did some painting on my own...on my garage floor. Put down some epoxy floor coating in preparation for the return of the car. Next step is to put some decent cabinets in the garage....running out of space to store 928 parts!

Cheers!

Looks great Carl...the garage floor too! I have a pair of triple garages myself to finish this summer. Been putting it off for far too long.

Thanks, well my daughter helped me 2 days of scrubbing and cleaning and painting on the 3rd day. Valspar line of "Extreme epoxy" if anyone is looking to do it. It seems pretty sturdy, but only time will tell.

Cheers!

Glad you like them! I saw them at SEMA in 2011, and they are just incredibly well made. When you close those doors, they make a "thud" as if you close a Mercedes door. And they are not even expensive... Everything else at the booths around them looked ancient by comparison.

The founder/owner of Contur Cabinets is Andy Evangelidis (Andy E. here on rennlist) - he has a beautiful 91 928 S4 and a Cayenne GTS. if you decide to contact him, tell him I sent you!

Nicole,

I'll be happy to mention you as a reference. Will get in touch with you as well for some clear Euro spacers for the front bumper cover to replace those ugly black rubber bumpers when I get the car back.

Cheers!
