I got the 928int radiator, love it.
But im chasing down whats going on with the overflow vent tube.
It is cut here, in this photo:
And..what cut it was where it was rubbing on the lip inside the hood in location #2 in this photo.
However, when this vent tube was originally turned a little more towards the FRONT of the car, the end of the tube/hose clamp had interferrence with the hood in position #1, which was causing a good portion of my 'hard to open the hood' post that I just discovered Sunday (after getting help in santa cruz getting the hood aligned better, but was still tight then too).
Last photo is the current position of the vent tube fitting, that led to the hose being cut by the hood lip.
The fitting is in the radiator, and feels 'very very tight'. I cant see how this would turn down another 1/8-1/4" to comfortably clear the hood when it closes.
Is the fitting too tall?
And..the radiator IS fully and squarely down on the rubber cushions, not being held up at all, we checked that at Bill ***** house..when in fact it was a little.

Had the 928 int radiator installed too.
I had it installed a couple months ago. Just noticed a coolant leak. Its dripping under the car below passenger side front seat. May have been ever since install, can't tell for sure because I drive so very little/
I am sure its just winding up there but its leaking from above. Another fun expense!, I have to find!!!

Dear 928int.com.
I see a world...where...a piece of 8.5x11 paper is in the box..that says...
1) Cut the mounts to avoid misery
2) Stack the crush washers..they are not SPARE washers...
*sigh*
Or..we could eliminate #1, by asking C&R to make a small adjustment..its their problem, shouldnt be mine.
#2 is understandable, fitting wise.

You can also call Greg he works on the guys cars at 928 international. he installed my radiator. his number is 714-879-9072. It seemed to me that he did alot of modifications to make it fit just right.....

Three Wheelin'
Would this work?
Looks like the blue fitting is pipe thread.
Any chance of tapping the bung to straight thread
& using a banjo fitting with crush washers? Is there
enough of a flat spot on the bung for a crush washer to seal?
Using a banjo fitting lowers the fitting & the braided
-6 hose shouldn't get cut even if it did touch the
hood a little occasionally.

Hey Jeff... when I needed this fitting for another AL rad I source a very fine banjo styled fitting that was nice and low, built to last. Check out: http://www.thehoseshop.com They're downtown SC, I think it was about $20.
