All the sets are now gone. I have some replacement parts left for replacement, but no complete sets.

Thanks
Hans

Well, if you do another run, I will get two more sets.

Any progress on the rear speakers? Be nice to run all 10 in my 89s with your gear.

That's a shame :/

Our local specialist, Terry, needs 5 sets as of today.

Minimum production run for the custom drivers was 500 pieces... so not likely to happen any time soon.

Last I looked Ciare out of Italy had something that may fit the factory bolt pattern.

Regards,
Hans

Since that's two per car we need 250 to buy in.........

Sounds like a fun challenge :-)

Question How to get commitment

We could open a campaign on kickstarter and/or indiegogo.

That way the pledges are secured until we hit critical mass.

Hans, if we secured another 250, would you be able to assemble more kits?

It took me three years to sell 100 sets the last time.... I can get another to buy some of the production run.

Yes, I can build more kits without any problem. I own the tooling for the grills and circuit boards, but the drivers and all the custom components for the crossovers need to be ordered in bulk in order to get decent pricing. I could redesign the crossover to use less expensive components, but that really isnt worth examining until we figure out how to get past the driver obstacle.

Thanks
Hans

Maybe jack up your profit margin so you don't have to sell them all?

I think the high price was what slowed down sales in the first place.

I'm in for at least one more set Hans, as I know they will sound and look great in these fresh door panels.

It's funny I just got these back from Classic Nine (Rob Budd) and was thinking of sending you an email and saw this thread

It will cost nothing to put it up on kickstarter.

Well, not nothing because to make it really work Hans or others would have to invest time in putting up some photos and or videos with sound.

But there might be more 928 owners out there than we can reach on this board alone. With the build quality, I have to image that there must still be tens of thousands still on the road.

With a video, we could link to Youtube and get every owner that searches for 928 videos.

Frankly I thought that for a limited run, bespoke set of speakers and crossovers in a ready-to-go kit the price was a little LOW !

Considering the difficulty in finding shallow speakers for the doors I bought a kit as soon as I could!

Agreed. They're expensive relative to a lot of off-the-shelf decent speakers, but once you factor in the mounting depth challenges and the custom design work, they're a steal. Or, they were Plus, they're almost too pretty to hide behind the door panels. Now if only I could figure out why my stupid new amp is not feeding them anything but high freqs...

Completely agreed- considering the sweat equity Hans has in this project and the quality of the product, they are an incredible value for the price. (And it's semi-criminal to hide beautiful custom-designed bits like this..)

I'd sure take a set if you get more.
