Are you going to replace your GTS bumper with a S4 bumper??? I don't blame you, i never liked the large reflector. And luckily i live in Europe, the twe black rubber bumpers are realy ugly. If you can have them removed, you have my blessing.
What's the timeframe on the work?

Tony, Love the color, it will be a real eye popper! I agree with deleting the side marker lights, but I chose to paint the rear bumperetts body color. All the current Porsche models are doing it that way, besides it fills that void. And . . . James is not legal. I think he told me once he has been pulled over for it. Don't know if it resulted in a ticket or not.

I think Louie Ott did something similar to fill in the void of the bumperettes... but with the silver aluminum "tuner grill" screen. He may have even incorporated some rear brake cooling ductwork with those as the 'exit vents'... I don't recall exactly.

Tony,
LOVE THE COLOR! SWEET! Can't wait to see it!
Jim,
I have never been pulled over for the rear plate, but for NOT having a front plate instead. I always tell the cops, "I have the real plates for the back here..." They always say, "I don't care..." Go figure. So, yea, technically not legal, but no one has had a problem w/ my rear plates and I have been pulled over for no front plate 3 times and speeding 2 or 3 times with that plate. Never been ticketed or even told to take it off. Go figure.

Tom, you are lucky. I have been pulled over by CPPD, WilCo sheriff and DPS (they were the only ones that gave me a ticket though) for no front plate! All in the last 2 years I might add too!

Progress-
James, I was pulling out of the park on Sun afternoon when I spotted your car from behind with the Euro plate. Sorry, but I was running way late. If I knew that was you , I could have spared a few minutes though! I have neve had a front plate and have never been bothered about it by the Law. I have already ordered & paid for a Vanity plate about two days before I saw your Euro plate, so its to late for that anyway. Pics of progress today. Monday should e it for dissasemble and then its on to sanding, etc. I have a great idea for the spaces on the both sides of the marker plates and think most will like it. I'll keep ya'all posted. T

Sorry I just missed you Tony, but you certainly didn't want to miss that awesome golf game! I would have loved to have played Barton Springs back when I played!
What I did on the plates Tony, is I bought that plate 92GTS (and have it in the back seat of the car at all times) and then I emailed my buddy Chris at Germanplates.com and had him build that one for me. Put the TX in the first two slots so that it was clear it was a TX plate number and then the space (and I bought the registration and inspection stickers they use in Germany to define the space) and then they did my custom plate number for me... Cake! SUPER COOL TOO!
Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve. If you don't mind sharing I would love to know the cost on something like this... Someday (if I ever get a REAL JOB again...dang this economy) I would love to do a "TRIBUTE" 928... I'd like to buy a '95 and do it up (not ALL the interior but much of it) like the LAST US 928 GTS... It would require a repaint of course and I think black is a good place to start because it would be one of those colors where NOT painting the engine bay would still look fine.

Chris,
Yea, that green one...here is a shot of my '94 photoshoped. I would love to do some of the purple and some of the lime green in the inside, but not the whole thing the way that crazy car was done! It would have been better to have PS'ed my silver car but it has the wrong wheels (Cup I vs. Cup II) but the paint would have looked ALMOST exactly like that last GTS. The white car because it is non-metallic did not PS as well to that Pearlglanz color.
Tony,
Yea, I get the impression when you get on a project it does not sit around long before it is finished!!! I LOVE THAT! I hate those guys (and gals to I guess) who have all these great intentions on a project and then never get started and then add another project and another and another. We have a really wealthy guy in the 'hood here that does that. He has like 7 airplanes and 3 of them fly! Just CRAZY!

Delete, delete & delete.
Today: All side marker lights deleted & filled, started on sunroof delete, S4 bumper patched. Stoned windshield coming out, new one in its place. Looks like a lot of sanding going on tomorrow along with finish of roof delete. T

Sorry Tony... the pics I sort of remember were in an issue of Excellence magazine within the last couple of years.
I only remember that now after scouring RL to no avail... if you PM Louie928 -he should be able to provide some details to you.
