Da dismantling continues...
Fed Ex delivered the S4 Bumper today and it's is in great shape with no warping, and all of the studs are in place, what a relief. Had Mike the painter spray on a 12" x 36" piece of scrap metal, 4 close in color, different variations of what we have selected. Would you like to see the results? Paul-you out there? T

Fantabulous.....
My wife Tambra and I knew the approximate color we were after. Had Mike the painter do 3 variations off of the original color selected on the far right. We then had Mike spray all 4 color samples on a scrap piece of grey primed metal. We ended up choosing the color on the far left. Our reasons were the following: We live on the Coastal Bend in TX, and wanted something that was going to be "Just Beachy" and easy to clean and maintain, vs the black that was on the GTS now. We do love the look of black-on other 928's, but do not like the upkeep. We have had numerous color cars & motorcycles in the past, and our favorite up to this point was the 08 Corvette Jet Stream Blue color. We didn't want to go down that same road again, and wanted to add a little green to the mix. We really like our choice and think this custom color looks "Fantabulous". This color really holds up well in sunny conditions, and the different light really plays with it. It also looks very rich & deep under overcast skies, and we feel this rich color will sustain on the larger body panels. T&T

Tony,
Don't forget to get rid of those bumperettes and the side marker lights.
Looking good.

Nice color, can't wait to see the end result. Are you going to paint the engine bay or just leave it black?
I feel your pain with the upkeep of single stage black, it is a job in itself!

Already mentioned on the previous page that the side marker lights are going by-by. As for the bumperettes, still on the fence on that one. I was thinking some cheezy, low quality galvanized chicken wire to fill in those bumperette spaces, what do ya think? It will keep those pesky chickens out of those "Dead Cat Holes" ! T&T

James has the Euro GTS with a Euro style long licence plate. I do not know if it is legal or not - I suspect not.
On the bumperettes - my paint shop covered the holes with plates.

Chicken wire
I see that Jeff has that pesky chicken problem also. I would like to go with the Euro style plates but don't want to be a cop magnet. Like to have things "in order" when being pulled over for ? Like to have the license, reg & ins card out before my favorite officer taps on the drivers door. This seems to happen frequently these days when I am driving the 928. I never get pulled over in the P-up truck? T
