I know I am English and I have a feeling this is a really silly question...buy WHY has he got what looks like leather gloves on his flag mirrors ???
Never seen them before...is it an American thing like cup holders that we never get in the UK ?

Guessing its the same idea as a car-bra: keeps the bugs and rocks off the side-mirrors, but in trying to keep the car looking nice it makes the car look awful.
