Texas Mile
|
I swear I was just on that web site five minutes ago :typing:
I'm dreaming of building a car to run there  <<<<<<<<<<<< |
I talked to one of the top Texas Mile drivers today... He should have his Supra out there, gunning for 250mph!!! OMG! I asked him if he was taking either of his (yes he has TWO) Underground Racing Gallardo's and he said "no, just the Supra"... The top Gallardo is a new Super Leggera that makes over 1500HP...should break 240 mph in the mile for sure.

Sean, If you can get the real skinny on running the mile, maybe I can run the Polecat down there next year. The Cat can break 200MPH easy, If I change the blower drives, she can make some real serious power.
We be talking at 3rd coast. |
Polecat,
You will need to sign up pretty early as they tend to fill the limited spots quickly. I would love to see your Pantera run that. |
I've not been there yet, but a few of the DFW crew has gone up as spectators, if you want in, I know we will be there to support and wrench. I'll load up the car with tools, just let us know what you need.

I'd love to nail the big dogs down there with a 37 year old Pantera. I'm gonna start checking into what's required to run the mile. The car is set up for Bonzai racing, fast and long. The 572 pulls like a freight train, with the Whipple.

If you can't make it to Texas, California also has a similar event. The Mojave Mile is usually held in the spring. It's organised by the same group that puts on the open road races.
