More bouncing headlights
Yep, My headlights began cycling up\down at about every 4 seconds last week. Indeed, they stay up for about 3-4 seconds before they retract and then they raise fairly quickly. I thought it was the ignition switch and replaced that for no improvement. As usual for this kind of thing, the conditions were very specific:
1) Turn headlights on with ignition off, the start the car, no issue.
2) start the car, then turn headlights on, and headlights stat bouncing as stated above
3) I tried out the "good used" spare headlight relay that I purchased from 929INTL several years ago (which didn't work after I replaced my original with it). I put my original back in and things seemed to settle down ...at least for now.
Anyone have a known good old relay that I could borrow to try if it starts back up? Is the relay the best place to start trouble shooting?

I had the exact same problem after my fuse panel refurb. My problem turned out to be that I had the actual headlight relay mixed up with the headlight power relay. After switching them, the problem went away. During the diagnosis process, I replaced the headlight motor. It seems that there are diods on it that tell the relay that the lights are all the way up or all the way down. I also replaced the relays themselves. That is when I noticed that the relay had a pin but the recepticle had no wire that matched it. Good luck with the problem. I know it can be a royal pain in the backside.
