Perfect fit and yes it should have been included in the kit.
I just looked at my order history with Summit and I do not see me shipping you one. Must have fumbled the order process, sorry.
I'll give you a call later today. Gotta go to work right now.

Thanks, Tim. Now I gotta get the Wife's S3 fan back in her car before she gets home.

Similar story - adding a Murf kit and want to add some pusher fans to help with airflow.
However, I'm stubborn. I don't want to remove my S4 louvers. The 16" Derale (and most other larger fans) won't fit with the louvers in place.
I measured and looked through the Summit catalog, and found that 2 Zirgo 9" fans will fit without removing anything (839 CFM each). I just got them. The Summit catalog says they come with brackets and hardware. Their ideas of brackets and hardware are some little plastic tabs that slot into the shrouds. There are no bolt, nuts, grommets, or spacers included for mounting.
Any suggestions on how I can mount these? Will it be practical to (carefully) drill through the fins of the A/C core and run some thin bolts through, or will some sort of custom hanger brackets be neccessary?
One other question: the center (non-blade) part of the fan is pretty large and will, by itself, block 10 - 12 square inches (each) of core; how far off of the core should I space the fans to minimize this effect? (By the way, directly against the core is not exactly an option, because the fan blade assembly sticks out about 1/4" past the shroud already... so some spacing will certainly be required.)
Thanks,
Paul

Here is the Zirgo 9" fans I have listed on ebay. (I have 2 fans)
I did have them mounted on my 1987 as pusher fans in front of the A/C condenser. I still have the bracket if your interested.
I will try and dig up a picture of the install if I can find one.

Hmm... sounds like the same setup I'm looking at. The Zirgos I got are the ZBF9.
How well did they work for you?
BTW, I did find a generic electric fan FAQ someone posted. He states 1/4" spacing from the condenser core for these fans, and suggests that zip ties are actually OK... I'm still thinking about thin bolts and grommets, though.

Mine runs cool now but in the summer in traffic with the air on forget it.
Remember we have over a third of the radiator covered with the air box you must have a front mounted pusher, water wetter and a top notch radiator but it will never run cool under those conditions.
Look at the instructions and make sure you reverse the fan blade and the power so it pushes and not pulls if required.

Yep,
Summer 95 - 100 degree traffic is a problem. I have tried 3 different fan setups, 2 NEW radiators and still with the AC on in stopped traffic its difficult to keep the temp under control. AC off no problem.
I currently run a brand new stock Behr Rad, with a 16" Zirgo Ultra HP fan. ZFU16S I believe is the model number. It cost about 225.00.
I thought I would get more air flow with the 2 9" fans, but it did not work out that way. The fan I got now is rated at around 3600cfm and seems to be my best solution so far.
Another important factor on the MY87 is that if you connect any of your fans to the stock wiring they will not receive full voltage. The Porsche controller on the 87 just works that way even when its full on. That made the biggest difference in my cooling when I wired all fans on a different relay/circuit etc. The 4 puller fans on 1 relay and the 16" on another, and the 10" fan on the water intercooler on another.

The DER-16516 Pusher is a wedge fit, almost no need for a bracket although I did fabricate small clips on the top. Mine runs almost too cold with the pusher installed, this august will be the true test.
The wife calls my car the tornado because of all 7 fans, 1 pusher/4 muffin pullers and 1 on each heat exchanger.

Here is food for thought;
I insulated my intake box and installed a 3 inch "Y" with air intake tubes running into both fenders with 2cone K & N's. One in each fender well. Its a little hard to see the metal Y connector in this pic.

Other than the insulated box, the Y and filters in each fender is the way Tim sells them now. I love the insulated box, what did you use?

I believe I ordered the insulation sheets from Summit and used foil tape to seal. But I will have to confirm that, its been a year or so since I did it.
I didn't know Tim now included the Y in the kit. Thats nice. He did tell me when I did it I would pick up a few hp.
