found an '84 928,right hand drive-worth 1k??
 

I have just now ,6 Oct,09:20est,joined this forum. We already have a 2000
Boxster, I just found out about an '84 928S,automatic,right hand drive,came
from California 8 yrs ago,has been garaged and not run since,owner wants
1k for the Car- I have not physically seen the Car yet.. Questions : what
Horrors should I expect after It sitting for 8 yrs,and is It worth 1k ???:confused:

Very odd that a RHD car would come from California unless it was imported to the USA. Are you from the UK?

Lots of work to be done if it has sat for 8 yrs. Timing belt, acc. belts, water pump, hoses, tires, fuel system flush etc etc.

If the body and interior are OK then 1 k should be fine as long as you don't mind doing some work on it. Please give us more details and location and pictures if you have them.

No,I'm not from UK,won't mind working on It,have My own repair Shop,haven't personally talked yet with
Car's owner,so don't know import history,will post more info when received..

Maybe "worth" a $1,000 very easily it is $10,000 away from being a $5,000 car. Driving it in the U S aside from the uniqueness is not much fun. Having a big dog ride "shotgun" gets a few looks. Best use might be to export it to Australia/ N Z where it costs many thousands to convert to RHD.
