Default Replacing mirror glass

88 S4..

I have a replacement piece of mirror for the drivers side mirror.

Whats the best way to adhere this to the 'rubber' backing on the mirror mount in the housing?

You don't, you get the replacement part and it locks on.

Do a search on replacing it, or the WSM, not much to it.

If the backing plate is still attached to the mirror motor, then you can 3m tape it. Not the cheap stuff either. It's kinda ghetto, but it works and is long term also.

If the mirror is gone, along with the part that clips on the assembly, ya screwed.

I think I paid $63 for my last mirror replacement glass/heater thing. Not that much in the Porsche scheme of things.
