Pod switches failure mode
Hi,
All the switches on the instrument pod (headlights, heated rear window, etc) seem to have some degree of the same problem, whereby the feel is very rubbery. The headlight switch seems to be getting worse - by rubbery I mean you turn the **** and there is no click, and you keep turning the **** and eventually there is a click. Well last night the headlight switch just kept going and I couldn't turn the lights off.
It feels like a coupling in the switch has deteriorated. Has anyone had any luck fixing these switches?

Just get a replacement - they are not easily repairable - However remove the **** part - just pull it off... it may be broken - underlying switch may be OK?
Either way I'd suggest a complete replacement used part - they are pretty reliable so I would't have too many concerns on this - they just plug in to the loom connector - quite an easy swap
