The fuel guage will go from proper to empty on its own Im seeing (saw that thread already), AC has a low-side 45psi charge, but doesnt come on...saw THAT thread...stacks of switches to pull apart, clean, and diagnose (saw that library of threads)...drivers side mirror glass is on the way, rear hatch struts are on the way..and..ya..gotta get the WP/TB/Tens done asap.
Needs alignment, shocks are "ok"..tires are old/dried out..

The can-can interior must be really striking. Maybe we will all see it at Sharktoberfest next year?
For the timing belt/water pump I would consider going to Roger for:
Porkensioner (redesigned tensioner)
OBhave's water pump (redesigned water pump)
Gates racing timing belt (much stronger than stock)
You are probably looking at about $500 to $1000 more in parts than just putting new stock stuff, but it will solve the problem rather than just postponing it.
My 4K S4 will be getting this treatment sometime in the next year, I think.

Of course..and theres a slim, very slim, this year.
I will -need- some local assistance to clear up CV joints and WP/TB/Tensioner by then in the limited time I have.
Of course, adding a quart of water to the system once an hour would work too...hahaha.

Congrats!!!!!
Hope you make it to SF this year... Would love to see it in person.
Boulder Creek... Thats way up north in Cali isn't it? I'd help ya if you were MUCH closer!
Have you had the TB cover off yet? Could be a big fix before a long drive, or it could just be a belt swap...Cam gear condition, water pump condition, and tensioner condition will determine...
The CV joints are cake. even easier if you find replacement half shafts for a good price. I've replaced them in the past for less than I could have bought the parts (boots, grease, CV's) to re-use my halfshafts. It's been quite a while since I last did this though. What does Roger charge for the CV parts and does he offer full new or rebuilt half shafts?
Has someone already told you to release the flexplate tension? You're gonna want to do that and apply some kind of flexplate clamp before too long. BS R&D Constantine clamp or a PKlamp in a pinch.

congrats!!! nice car, your interior is exactly the same of mine, see link.
i have done the tb/wp past weekend, pump was realy making nois, i never had done a tb job, with the help from this forum it was verry easy.
i also repaired the heater and some elecktrical issues.only $200 for new headunit and the heatervalve.
no matter how much you payed for your car, you must have some luck to.
i also sold my bmw,,,for this porsche. not a second regret.
so,,goodluck with your great white shark

WP leaks -barely-. I thought last night when I added a quart to get it to the 'full' mark in the tank, Id have to do it again. 3hrs of driving later, not a drop low. No pump noises, and havent inspected the belt yet.
Im gonna try to do caps/rotors this weekend, and debug the AC.
The fans blow, AC light comes on..so the relay should be fine...sooo...who knows.
The clamp was released, came back 2.43mm, and the TB crank play was .0512mm. Was very happy to see that before I actually paid for the car.
Hopefully, Bill and some others have some time to BS around with, and help me get to the bottom of my "to do" list and debug a few low hanging items this weekend.
