Be patient, it could take months to find a car that fits your budget and mileage criteria.

Here was a recent deal on a higher mileage (but well documented) '93 5-spd.

Did that belong to a Rennlister?

Just curious what kind of records are available for most of the cars you guys are referencing at the lower prices.

It was bought by a Rennlist guy, not sure about the seller. According to the ebay listing it had the same owner for 15 years and 95k miles and he keep all records. He also knew the prior ownership history.

Hello Joe(?),

I was looking for a Blue 94-95 GTS for a while. When Samantha's Blue GTS came
up for sale I really wanted it. Even lined up Bill B to help do a road trip to go pick it
up.

She sold it to someone else (the luck devil), but I kept looking. Finally found one
9 months later that was local.

Just had to be patient.

Something about that Iris blue GTS. I was supposed to buy that same car and the seller sold it to Samantha without even a heads up while i was waiting for the paperwork from him. In the end I am much happier. Took me over a year and the day i decided to give up on my search my GTS fell right into my lap. 15k miles later i am very happy with it.

They're out there. Stick with the 5 spd. Though Auto's are great, you will never have the control that a 5 spd will give you. Get the 5 spd in the sweet spot of the power band (at any speed), shift and feel why they call these torque monsters.

Anyone know anything about the 91 GT for sale in FL? 5spd, 44K, red/black on EBAY & AutoTrader.

IMHO, this is an exceedingly well cared for vehicle. Much $$ put in for all imaginable maintenance. The owner did not spare any expenses. It is not a one owner car, however. I believe it is a two owner car. Has GTS calipers and GTS mirros. All work was done at Gulf Performance in South Florida. You could call them for history.

That 91 GT is a nice car, but IMHO Afshin's (Marine Blue)'s car is a lot more special and even better cared for.

Good luck with your search!

FWIW dealer claims in caps that this is the only GT on global market right now. That together with his low feedback makes me want to spit, but that is marketing and doesn't mean anything else about it is bad. However, it is beautiful and appears exceptional. Even so $29K is high. Get a PPI and offer what it is worth to you. :)

+1 Afshin's is much nicer for that kinda money.

+1 more! Got to see it to believe it!

:) thanks guys.....what a site! I talked to the dealer and he won't take any less than $26K for the car, which I think is fair, all things considered. From what I've seen and researched, I would agree with the comparison comments to Afshins......if I could just get him down to that price.......... :)

Jadz928 10-05-2010 11:13 PM

Ya get what you pay for, man. :)

I looked over Afshin's GT quite closely a few weeks back. Hard pressed to find a single flaw.
The interior upgrades and supple leather make the interior feel ultra luxurious... for a 928. I sat in it for 5 minutes, Oooooo. ;)

pcar928fan 10-05-2010 11:19 PM

Joe, Jim beat me to it... you can pay less, but you will ALWAYS get less...well, almost always and CERTAINLY in this case. That said, if I was looking for a GTS there is NO WAY I'd buy anything but a GTS! If I was just looking for one of the nicest 928's currently on the market, then I'd probably have to buy Afshin's!

danglerb 10-06-2010 12:56 AM

Something about buying a used car from a dealer irks me. Almost always some kind of gotcha is lurking.

pcar928fan 10-06-2010 02:18 AM

^^^^^^^
Yea, it is like the owner realizes that the car is SO F*ED up HE can't sell it and wouldn't feel right about it if he did, so he just trades it in...then he/she does not have to feel the guilt of someone getting screwed over when they buy his car, because it was the dealers car then...NOT HIS (hers...)
