Hello,

I haven't chimed in yet, welcome to the NorCal928 area. Lots of nice people
here, and a great deal of 928 knowledge also. Bill B, Jim M, Dennis K, Dave A,
Tom C, and Marc T have all helped me keep my car going. They're a great
support group and I'm very thankful for all their help. To bad I don't have a
place to BBQ, or I'd offer a location. Now that racing season is over, I'll have
more time to socialize...

Welcome to Rennlist/ Norcal928.
I would enjoy helping with MM/ oil pan but I am doing a auto-x on Saturday and busy with PCA corral at the Vintage races at Sears Point on Sunday.
Next weekend doing a DE at Sears and the rest of the month filled with PCA events.

Yup, cant wait for some limited fun next spring...

I just went out and did a cursory inspection of my coils..

I have new Beru wires, new Bosch copper plugs here tomorrow, and new Bosch caps and rotors on hand for the work.

I can only see up inside the drivers side coil plug, and there -is- some corrosion up in there..im reading that this is an 'issue'...

HOW much is 'bad'...is this a sign of lost oil in the coil?

I have a spark miss..always there, all RPMs.

If you are interested in doing the timing belt or motor mounts/pan gasket, it would be best to do these at your place. These are big jobs that take all day and if something goes wrong, we need a part, etc., it would be best if you and the car didn't get stranded for a day or two somewhere else. Anyway, we should plan this for sometime in November. If you really need to jump in on these jobs now, I can at least provide "phone support".
