Another fan of the front but not the ear. Still for the money it would be my first choice over an S-Class, 7 Series or A8.
New 911 has a longer wheelbase which means it will be that much closer to the 928 as far as interior space. Still a 40/60 weight distribution which isn't as good as the 928. Interior of the new 911 is much like the Panamera which IMHO is also very similar to the 928 with the raised center console and everything in easy reach.

If Porsche redoes the Panamera butt-which is not its most attractive feature--like they redid the Cayenne, then they have a classic. Then again who is to argue with 22,000 first year sales? Then again the Cayenne original didn't bother me as much as others...
Some say the S4 and GTS butt in nicer than the OB...we all have opinions

The Porsche Panamera has proved to be a highly successful sales performer. The German Grand Tourer has now reached one year of presence on the market, with the vehicle registering sales of 22,518 units in this period (2,530 of these were sold in Germany alone).

The Cayenne is enjoying continuing high demand around the world. At the end of May, this sporty all-terrain vehicle had sold 33,997 units (up by 6.6 percent). Once again, more than half of Cayenne sales were in North America and Germany. Spain, Italy and the Middle East region reported the highest growth rates, with Cayenne sales increasing by some 30 percent in each case.
EDIT: fwiw here is what happens when something looks good AND has a reasonable price;
Original sales forecasts projected less than 100,000 units for the first year.[27] This mark was surpassed in three months from rollout.[28] Another 318,000 would be sold during the model year (a record),[29] and in its first eighteen months, more than one million Mustangs were built.

I saw a bunch of themat the dealership. Much better in person. A cool car for sure. A sweet sedan to say the least. The interior is so cool. I can only imagine how the turbo feels on the road. Maybe I will own one in 20 yrs!

This Panamera review just came out on a finance site I frequent. A number of comments about the 928 in the reader comments:
http://www.marketwatch.com/story/201...-25?link=kiosk
Interestingly, one of the posters who is a 928 fan also frequents the articles about gold, telling us that it will drop dramatically to $600/oz any day now (has been saying that for the past year or two). I'll keep my gold investments and my 928s (the former help pay the maintenance on the latter).

Sorry I am a dumbass. I knew the 22K number but 78,000 was on my brain (probably a mileage of a car). I fixed the post...

I've only seen a few of them, and only one of those was actually moving, but I really like it (rear end included). It has a certain presence which photos don't convey. If I had the need to carry four tall people I'd get one.

I like it.
