Vacuum Leak
I found my idle issue on MY87 after some extensive testing, it's a vacumm line leak. I have to replace the vacuum line from the fuel tank vent diaphragm to throttle body. Is there a technique to replace this line without removing the intake manifold?

If that is leaking, then you have a good chance that some of the other items under there are also not in the best condition. MAF boot where the Y connections go in, etc.

Trust me on this, I tried to do it on the cheap 4 years ago and it was a freaking headache years later. It's called not following my own advice.

the single line can be replaced just figure out where it goes and feed it into the intake port,
You didnt specify where its broken??
It could just be unplugged from the intake port.
Alsoit will be easier if you remove the lower aircleaner assembly.
I would suggest to inspect the other parts of the intake system and buy both of the Y fittings for the MAF rubber boot,
its a great chance that while your working around the boot the plastic will snap, best to have the parts in hand before you start working on things.
And of course you could go hog wild and remove the intake and fix everything ,
make sure to use compressed air to blow out mounting area of the intake to heads and the fuel injector lower mounts where they plug into the manifold,
so small pieces of dirt wont fall into your cylinders and ruin the cylinders,
be very careful that errant washers or nuts are all removed before lifting off the intake manifold.
There may also be a 17mm hex headed nut laying in there somewhere this is the stop for the flappy arm so be aware of that

I finally got the courage to see what’s going on underneath the intake. Blown87 mentioned in his post https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...connected.html that some of the MY87 have 2 vacuum ports top and bottom of throttle housing. One of the bottom vacuum lines has a plug. Also on of the T distributing piece also has a plug. Is this correct?
PETS show 4 plugs into some where but the one points to the firewall but I didn’t any thing missing. Where should the fourth one plug into?
