Default Stabilizer Bar Adjustment

Last weekend I finally finished installing a rebuilt steering rack, new upper passenger side a-arm, and new tie rods (plus front rotors and pads). The last thing to reinstall was the front stabilizer bar, but on the drivers side, the rubber bushing is shifted a little towards the inside of the car, and I couldn't get the bolts in. After 3 straight weekends living under the car, I was too sore and tired to worry about it, so I just secured the passenger side and rolled it into the garage. (I have a KwikLift, but the car is actually almost a little too high to really work comfortably-I guess my arms are too short!) What can I do to get the bar to move a little bit so I can get it completely secured?

loosen the dog bones and see if you can then pry the clamp into position.
NOTE both of the wheels must be off the ground

If your talking about the rubber bushing on the sway bar, it should just slide back and forth. Probably stuck on from age. IIRC it's also a split bushing so it can be seperated and repositioned wherever you want it.

If your refering to the rubber bushings in the link between the bar and the lower a-arm, then a "C" clamp should force it back into position.
