I am not sure if the PPI included checking the crank and flex plate, but it got a clean bill of health. I plan on taking it directly to the Porsche mechanic and get a tune up along with some new hoses and fuel lines and fluid change. What interval should the plugf wires be changed?

I will do more reading so I fully understand how to prevent TBF.

Gorgeous! Welcome to the PNW side of the tank too! Hopefully will see you at an event.

Wish I could commit to Sun Peaks...would be fun for sure. It's about 5.5 hours in a normal car

Hi Ray, and welcome to 928 ownership! Great looking Euro spec car there, Japanese import I presume? Love the color combo. If you didn't already know there are a few of us Shark diehards in the lower mainland and we run an owners group with meet ups, etc. If you are interested PM me your e-mail address and we will get you on the list ASAP. It's an easy going group of owners with loads of experience & advice we share to help each other out. Hope to see you at an event soon!

Manuals - $70.00 for the Jim Moorehouse collection from Roger at 928s Rus. What a deal... you gotta have them. I can't believe Jim was able to put such a collection together for that. Oh, and Roger ships these things on the pronto. I got my set in only two days (thanks Roger). In fact, I am looking them over now. I only wish I had this advise before I spent all that dough on e-bay.

PS - nice ride!

I received the car last night, a nice 450km drive home. It drove like a top through the mountains, I had some low idle problems but made it home. Today the motor mounts, oil pan gasket, MAF cleaning, oil change and a check on the flex plate. We have her running better, A slight rough idle is still noticable we will check the o2 sensor next but the air filter was installed incorrect and we didnt have another one so it is installed incorrectly still.
The car cruises at high speeds like I have never experienced before, truly amazing.

open the hood and run the car in the dark look for sparks jumping from the ignition wires pay close attention to the coil wires they are the usual suspects for a rough idle, also a good idea to remove the coil wires and inspect the ends for corrosion
