Cosmo,
Yes, it is that car. Overall, it needs a fair bit of time and effort to put it back right. I'm considering it because of the 86.5 features, and my personal goal of slowly building it for reliable touring and fun.

That car was owned by a guy out by Ingersoll and was trying to sell it on here earlier in the year, he was even considering parting it . Sold it to the guy in Toronto and I think he got in over his head. It looks like a solid piece to start with, as long as you can put up with the cosmetic deficiencies to start with. Lowball him and see how cheap you can get it for, sounds like he really needs to move it.

Thanks for the info Cosmo. I've got one more to see tonight, and decide between the two. The 86.5 is a runner, but needs the interior re-assembled at a minimum to drive it safely. It is 99% complete, looks like the diff and trans have been worked on recently due to cleaned and painted nicely. Also seems the steering rack is recently installed. Very clean underneath for 128K miles, a solid starting point for a rebuild.

My car also has the slightly "dimpled" "frame rails (actually told they are crumple zones) after some idiot tried to raise my car and didn't bother to look where the REAL lift points are. Good luck in your search!
Hey, I'm also on the search for dimensions to find out if the frame is straight!(as I light up left rear tire everytime I leave a junction) Is it specified in the WSM, or on the net?

Hey Al

I am not sure what your budget is, but this S4 in Toronto looks like a great deal. FYI if you are looking at automatics (especially the 85 and up cars) have the the crank end play measured to check for TBF.

Or this one, one would have to numbers on the engine it could be a 300 hp Euro S, but sometimes spoilers were added to the non S cars.

I went to see that ingersol car it is a very nice car not sure what the price was but he replaced all the interior with new stuff and had all the maintanace done the only thing that wasn't done was some peeling paint he said the car was a cali car he bought on e bay it looked like a very well kept solid car to me. I bought all the leftover parts that he had replaced

Tailpipe,
I visited that car twice, and decided it was not for me. It has sunroof and electric seats, so I didn't fit very well as I'm 6'8" tall. Would have been a lot of effort to configure it for me to drive comfortably.

Congratulations, is it an actual Euro S? If it is, that will be quite a ride. Make sure you drive it somewhat regularly to keep the CIS injection working as it should.
