I'M BACK!!! Caught a new shark!!!! new pics added
Just picked up my new beauty. She's an 84'S black on black auto. I decided on a 16V just because I had better luck in the past with them. I was actually looking at 5 speeds and autos, but this one was definitely the right car. I have been holding out for a nice car and finally landed it. I looked at just about every piece of crap in SoCal. I was about to give up and buy a Boxster when this one just happened. It's not concours, but its not nearly a rat either. It's a very well maintained, garaged driver. Upon pickup, I was plesantly suprised at the condition. The only negatives are the original paint is presentable, but a few nicks here and there, it's got a dash overlay installed that looks, well, like a dash overlay, one small crack in the pod, and the cruise control doesn't work. Everything else works great! The AC is cold, and even the high intensity washers work. It's got new brakes, struts, engine mounts, water pump, timing belt, and suspension bushings. The door rubber looks like new, and it's got a $500 Blaupunkt Munchen RDM 169 US head unit! The sunroof is a little slow, but at least it works. And it passed smog! I drove up the 15 to the 215 from Corona and over to the 605 down into Long Beach right at sunset. It feels like new. I will remember this drive forever. All these photos are from the seller, but I will take and post more when I have some light. I am so happy to be back in a 928.
