IM going to put in my .02 cents. My 2 cents actually pain me this time.
When I had my 928 my last few orders were less than satisfactory. In fact come to think of it. I paid for parts I never got. I ended up ordering them from a texas vendor and had them cheaper and right away. And sadly this was not my first experiance with simular issues.
I think Jeanie and DR are fantastic people. But I do feel something else is lurking causing this.... Maybe money is tight... maybe personal issues between them... Maybe both? Or maybe they are just getting tired of busting their asses for a bunch of cry babies (me included)
I really do hope whatever is going on get resolved and you can keep these fantastic people as a 928 vendor. Their knowlede is great.. The Meet they put on every year is fantastic. So I give them the benifit of the doubt and say its growing pains.
AND DONT GET ME WRONG.. I have never felt "screwed" (I dreamed abtou it with Jeanie but thats another thread, JOKE) by them and I am sure if I called and asked for my $15 back they woudl surely do so with out any hassle.... And I have to also admit and state.... they are very lax on their payment terms and I have OWED THE<M money in the past and forgot about it... They are good people....Really they are.

You know what? Every vendor has a tough day, or a tough customer. My experience with _all_ of them is they do their best 100% of the time, get it right 95, then make up for the 5 with 10. My feeling is only flagrant, long term gripes are for public forums, the rest of it you sort out directly with the vendor. Minor stuff you deal with as required. As a racer... digging up washers etc should be part of your life.
otherwise.... +1 on butts. I cannot lie, I love big butts.

Be real. I can count the dedicated 928 vendors on one hand. There used to be five, I'd still love to get a Devek brake kit upgrade for my '85. A google search for 928 parts and services yields 49,500 results, a comparable 911 search yielded 3,120,000 results. From what I can discern, most of our vendors are there because of a personal interest in these cars not because of the outstanding business opportunity. My friend just dropped $2K on a cat back sport exhaust for his '10 911 Carrera and didn't squak at all. There isn't alot of R&D out there for our cars. I appreciated all these guys, Dave Roberts, Roger Tyson, Carl Fausset, Mark Anderson. I love my cars, they keep me sane. But I can't keep them without these people. What I have is special and unique, my same friend just dropped 150K for a GT3RS because every other guy here at Peachstate PCA region has something like his Carrera. This is a cottage industry and I'm suprised and thankfull they're still around; with this economy my "business" is real tight, and I'm a physician! My suggestion is get a FKNG 911 and let the dealership service it. Good nite, I got a trauma code coming in. Ed M
