Having been the happy recipient of a copy of the old list when we delivered a 968 Turbo from San Fransisco to Wichita for Jay Wellwood and for us to attend the 2004 OCIC. I would have to say that just having the list with us was like having a comfort blanket. If something went wrong we knew we would have a local 928er to call that if not able to help directly would probably have access to more local 928ers tthat could help. Luckily our trip went without incident (If you exclude the dipstick tube falling out in Death Valley)
My advice would be KISS. To my mind there's no need to have more than a general location - like New York or Los Angeles plus a mobile phone number listed. Continue to distribute the list by email. No need to distribute adresses or email adresses. When it all goes **** up in the desert or the boonies or the swamps, all a 928 owner needs to do is call someone reasonably close to initiate some form of rescue plan. As has happened here a few times - I forget who that got stuck in Lone Pine on a new car delivery trip within the last year or so.
Feel free to request my mobile no and general location - will happily assist rennlisters lost, broken down mugged, just in need of help etc in Sydney OZ.

We have twenty 928 OC members signed up now. I emailed the membership list I have on Saturday, so I am anticipating (many?) more sign ups this week.
We will also have a single topic with phone numbers of those on the 928 OC Roadside Assistance Help Desk. As we know many failing 928s may not have Internet access, this one topic will contain phone numbers of 928 OC members likely to be in front of a computer. These members will be willing to answer a call for assistance, review the 928 OC Roadside Assistance forum and help identify who is in the area of the 928 in need.
So, each member can have a single short list of phone numbers, and be likely to find someone available to review the forum when needed.
