Default '89 S4 Lower Control Arms Part Number question...

A Rennlist member has been kind enough to sell me some lower control arms I need to replace due to worn rubber.

He has 2 which are in good shape.

If I read PET right, the part number should be:

928 341 017 04

On his units:

928 341 413 08

Is this the right part/year/replacement????

Thanks in advance!!

Michael

That number doesn't show up anywhere in PET (the 928 341 413 xx).

The only correct part is the number you found in PET.

Interesting.. doesn't show up in PET.

After Bill's comment I checked German ebay..

Wonder why PET doesn't know of it?

928 Intl uses the ...017 04 PN too, but what I got had the other number cast on it which they don't list either.

I wonder if that was an internal part number for the arm itself sans any other attached pieces. We do that all the time for repair/replacement parts that are not available for sale.

Original factory Casting ID vs. Finished part retail ID? The "finished" part number probably includes the rubber bushings installed. That's my best SWAG.

DR Bob you have the correct answer.

Thanks everyone! I knew what car it came from but wanted to be 100% sure there hadn't been some silent change or replacement part later on.
