Default Need help with A/C -'91 GT

My A/C kicks in ( and blows COLD immediately) only on air recirculation mode. In any other position is totally non-functional (a/c button pressed). What amI missing here?

Your AC switch is disconnected - or non-functional... check in the console.

The headunit turns the AC on automatically regardless of the switch when you are in recirc mode.

It will also do so in DEF mode (but it also does full heating/fan so you would hardly know).

Thanks, Alan! What is the safest method of checking the A/C switch? I ask because I didn't took apart the center console before and I really don't want to damage it...

Solved! Incredible but the A/C switch button was DISCONECTED from the harness. Plug and play, now I'm happy!

Not that uncommon. My previous 928 came that way. It's kind of easy to accidentally pull the A/C switch plug off when tucking everything back in under the center console.

Glad you had an easy fix!
