Wheel pic shootout! Post your pic of your favorite.

I have not seen a thread that just focuses on wheel pics. It would be a great resource for those looking to see what the 928 looks best in. Of course, it is our own opinion on what looks "the best"!
Please post the whole car. This wheel is a copy of the older ruf wheel for the 911. It was designed for a Porsche in mind and it looks good without being tacky. Attachment 461226 |

That thread has a style evolution built-in.

Okay, I hate to ask, but...are you getting ready to race a Renault LeCar??? :icon107:

I picked a few more wheel pics from that old thread. There are some hideously ugly wheels out there! These wheels came across as some of best styles for a contemporary, sporty and smart look. Of course one has to be Chuck Z's Cup 4 wheels for Sport Edition.

I agree with you on both those.

Lol...no that was at the drag track the day I took the UK Drag record for fastest 928... See this thread >>> https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...ord-taken.html All the best Brett :) |
Brett,
All seriousness aside, being the fastest 928 does not mean that you didn't get your ass handed to you by Le Car. |
Sport Edition
Just for your information. Sport Edition is one of Tire Rack's in-house brands, offering customized wheels by Japanese manufacturer Kosei. They are then made in China. What isn't these days. The wheel meets quality standards set by TUV Rheinland. The 18x8 fronts are 11.16 kg 18x10 rears are 12.34 kg. The 19x8.5 fronts are 11.97 kg and the 19x11 rears are 14.79 kg. Not bad for a very affordable street wheel. They also look easy to clean, unlike many mesh styles.
Any recommendation on tires for the 18"? |
They also look easy to clean I put Sumitomo HTRZ III's (235/40-18's and 295/30/18's) on them per Damon's suggestion at Tire Rack. The rears spin very nicely. https://webfiles.uci.edu/redwards/pu...e%205-1-10.jpg |

Looks like a Hot Wheels car!

I love the color of your GTS, the wheels look perfect for that color.

My take on the original tele dials. Had them beadblasted and powdercoated in bronze. Soon my car will be mobile again and I'll get some better pictures of them on the car

For those that like the 996 Turbo Twists, I have a set of 18" Hollow Spoke for sale on eBay right now without tires for cheap. http://ww2.nikiatkins.com:8080/928/rd1.jpg http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=160458516839 |

Five spoke O.E. Porsche wheels are my favorite on 928's, 17" Cup II's, 18" Carrera III's, and 19" Carrera Classics... as seen below...

Test fit the new rims this morning. I may even get tires for them.
|
Man, those are good looking rims!! Losing the jack should boost your fuel economy and your 0-60 time!!

There is a 911 with those RUF wheels from post one for sale here in Hobart. They are a smart looking wheel. Personally I love the Cup 2`s on a 928... however, Ive always thought 17inch Minilites would look superb on a 928S... perhaps not the S4/GTS though.
