Hood Switch
Yet another fine plastic part ... my hood switch is kaput. Until I get around to replacing it, I just connected the two wires. I believe this is the desired condition when the hood is closed, the circuit is completed.
So, just to double-check, the effects of this temporary rigging are: 1) hood light will not come on and 2) safety interlock on the fans is bypassed (I never stick my fingers anywhere near the fans with either a hot engine or battery connected).
Am I remembering correctly, no other effects?

On my '89 the inner lights come on when the hood is opened. Don't know if it's supposed to do that or if it has todo with the aftermarket alarm installed.

Let's face it, sometimes the hood is up more than it is down. I exaggerate.
So I took the bulb out long ago; and really what use is that bulb anyway? If it was dark and I was checking the oil, it wouldn't provide enough light to find the dipstick sleeve considering the hoses and belts I have to thread it thru.
