Default Loose Wiper Arm

The monsoons the past few weeks have taken a toll on my driver's side wiper. It no longer makes a full stroke and I can lift up the arm and move it back and forth with little resistance - and no movement in the other one - as though something's come loose in the mechanism.

Just one arm? Try to tighten it up a bit and see if that helps.

Sounds like it may be slipping on the splined shaft it is attached to. I had a similar situation with my rear wiper. I ended up using a washer under the nut to be able to crank down a little tighter and that took care of my issue. Not sure if the fronts use the same attachment method.
