car cuts off after car wash

If you operate the car with one ignition system not working, four injectors will be spraying fuel that will not be burned in the cylinders (no ignition in four cylinders). This fuel will burn in the cats. The cats will glow brightly enough to light up the area under the car, and will get hot enough to melt the cats ($$$$), ignite the undercoating, fuel lines, transmission cooling lines, carpets, etc., and burn the car to a crisp. Don't know how to put that more clearly...

I am a little confused about this. Are their more then one temperature probes?
Does anyone have any sort of picture of this? So you want me to go underneath the car, then look at the back of the cylinder heads? or did you mean exhuast manifold? Is their a probe on each side of the engine? If so which side is the bad one on the passanger side or the drivers. This could help me out a little more:

Lets pretend the little text diagram below is the engine.
Which cylinder is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8?
passenger side--------drivers side
O-----------------------------------O

The only other thing I can think of is the connectors for the temp probs (in the 4 and 8 exhaust ports) got wet and haven't dried yet.
you should be able to see them on the back of the heads (from the underside of the car)...basically a thin metal prob in the underside of the exhaust header port..with heat shielded wire coming out of it and running to a small barrel connector at the back of the head on each side..

Your car is an '89, so the probes are screwed into the heads just beneath where the exhaust manifold comes out from cylinders 4 and 8. The holes they're screwed into point up vertically - you can see them from underneath with a little contortion, up past the block coolant drain plugs.

Alright so theoretically I need to replace the temp sensor (I bought one) that is plugged into the number 4 cylinder because the light is red before it shuts down 4 cylinders? I bought a new set of wires, i thought they were the wrong type but nology gave me multiple coil wires to make it work. also i have a question about the spark plug wires. Which wires connect where?
