Intake is off. Hoses were like taffy, split, leaking.
Only problem that I ran into was a rounded out allen bolt up front. Will tackle that tomorrow. Should be fun!
Will spend the day cleaning and sanding tomorrow, and grabbing parts from Roger to get this thing running.
Also checked crank end play and got .23 and .25 so good there.
Replaced both steering tie rod ends, upper a arm boot on passanger side. Have a rebuilt a arm on order with Roger. Sean is going to help me put that in and off to be aligned. Spent the day doing tons of other odds and ends.
Hope to have it on the road by next weekend. Have a set of Panamera wheels ready, just have to have the tires mounted. Rears should be here Monday.

Going to paint it. Yours does look good.... car will be my sons daily driver and when he saw the red you did he asked if we could do something similar. Nervous about injesting leftover media or something and having to swap motors.

Hi Brad:
The usual ugly mess. Nice knock sensors, eh? The car should run noticeably better after you finish. I presume you are going to replace the oil filler neck seal as well. It probably contributed to the mess. Good time to do the water bridge seals as well. Warning! - Do not remove the water bridge after you remove the filler neck unless you drain the block coolant first. Don't ask how I came up with that warning.

Brad,
the left over media really wasn't that hard to remove, you just need to be thourough and take your time to make sure you get it all.
As to Bill's warning I took off the filler neck then the bridge, but I did it slowly and held up a thick towel to prevent flow into the crankcase. Worked perfectly.

Don't count on that every time. I heard a gurgle, then the waterbidge base opening overflowed so much the towel was not adequate.

Injectors look nasty. Im going to replace them with the ford injectors. Pictured are the two worst, and the best of the 8.
Intake look normal? Got it cleaned on the outside and started scraping.
