Default DFW Tech help needed!! Sunday July 25th

Hey guys, I am trying to plan on Sunday July 25th having as many people that can help over to help me do the head gaskets and TB/wp on my 86. If July 25th doesn't work or you live near by I am going to be working on it from Thursday the 22nd Up until people get here on Sunday.

I plan on taking special requests for beer for those who are certain to show. I'll get anything for you, if it costs 15 bucks for a beer I'll get you one, Colt 45's no problem. If you say you like dunkel hefeweissen or Belgian ales or any catagory Ill get you something good if you are not sure what you want. Also lunch and possibly dinner depending on how late we work will be provided, likely burgers.

I plan on having the motor out and ready to go by Sunday so all we have to do is work on the engine. My goal is to have the heads done and the TB/WP done so that I can put it back together and throw it in. If we end up getting further than that then great!

Let me know if you are down, or if another day is best for you. Its a long ways away so I'm a little flexible.

Thanks DFW crowd!

I live in Plano. Near Schreiber. I also want to replace the head studs. I have a kemph tool, but I do not have any of the handy porken ones, if anyone has them and is willing to bring them that would be great. Any other special tools I am going to need??

Sorry to hear Sean, thanks for checking.

Is this work to be done in your shop, your garage, in your driveway, or in the middle of the street? Do you have all the "correct" tools that will be needed? Just asking.

Its going to be in a 2 car garage. The engine should be out and in an empty space the size of a car by the time everyone gets there. What special tools was one of my questions, I only have a kemph tool. The porken stuff would be nice if anyone could bring them...

For an '88, shouldn't they they head bolts? You need to replace them and you will will need an angle tool to torque them.
