I can't believe this. I am in the process of moving to Kerrville, TX (job related) for the next 2 years and just noticed that Marble Falls is only 70 miles away. Sooo Cool. WE will be there.
I have not got my 928 here in TX. yet , but plan on driving it out from Florida in July.

David, that's fantastic news! Welcome to Texas, one more for the Texas possee.

He will have to trailer it down to the parking lot of the Hampton Inn.

Wow - sounds like a great event, and one I'd LOVE to attend. The problem is - life is about choices and decisions. SO - my decision is between driving my track '89 S4 1000 miles to & from Virginia Int'l Raceway for 3 days of spirited driving on that track (about 350 miles) with a PCA region the first weekend in November, or do I drive the more comfortable GTS about 2200 miles to Marble Falls TX for a most enjoyable weekend of talking 928 jive with a great group of folks from TX and assorted other states/nations? It may sound like an easy decision, but it's not.

However, as the old chronological clock is catching up to me, I'm sure there won't be many more of the great "end of season" track events at VIR on my personal schedule, so I'll probably choose that one for this year, and hope to catch the Third Coast event in the coming years.

I'm sure it will be a great event, and I was truly disappointed to see the conflict on my calendar.

Cheers all, and have a great time.

Trying to decide how many days to book at the Hampton Inn.

Will there be any events on Friday, or is that arrival day? How about Sunday?

Thx.

We all usually show up Friday afternoon and occupy the parking lot until 2 or 3am. You might not even need a hotel room that night if the weather is nice

The picnic is on Sunday and we all usually bolt out around 3 or so.

Yea, I know, that sucked. Doing anything during the week is pretty tough for us. Kids and all that stuff.

928sRus will provide a lot of goodies to be given out at the BBQ on the Sunday.

This year I will be putting up a very special "Star Prize" for the winning raffle ticket.
Rules - each driver who brings their 928 to Marble Falls (one per car) will receive a special ticket.
Winning ticket will be drawn from Jim's hat on Sunday lunch time at the BBQ. Winner must be present to receive the grand prize. If the owner of the winning ticket is not present when the ticket is drawn, another ticket will be drawn until a winner is found from those in attendance.
Tickets will be given out on Saturday.

So get motivated and come on down. It's party time Texas style.
