Default Interior color code

How can i get my interior color code for my 1987 S4? I know the car has codes somewhere. Please let me know and where i can research the number code.

Thanks for your help guys. My interior is a blue, not sure how many blues were available. Its not a really bright blue, but then the interior could be faded. My outside color Venetian blue metallic (36P)

thanks jpc

Go figure my sticker is worn out. It might be K3PP SX.... i just don't know ...the numbers are really faded as-well

Can someone do it by a VIN number?

go over to your local dealer and ask the parts/service dept to run the build sheet for you

Hi Phil,

I know this thread is old, but thought I'd throw some info in of my own.
I've got an '88 S4 in Venice Blue and my sticker says L36P SX.
It's taken quite a bit of effort to find out what Blue my Blue interior really is.

Now that I've found someone with the same exterior/interior combo we could compare notes !

I've found a colour chart from an official '87 brochure. It lists the colours available for that year and this corresponds to Brian Long's book "Porsche 928". Unfortunately our colour is listed as, simply, "Blue". . .

I've recently found someone refer to the SX colour code as "Marine Blue".

I've attached a link with the pictures of the brochure and my sticker too.

I can say my interior blue is slightly purple, is not "Dark Blue" (which I think is almost black!) and isn't the super-saturated blue of the earlier 80's either.

Anyway, thought i'd chuck that in there; not sure if you're still posting but we'll see !

Loving the Venice Blue exterior !

Cheers !

Marine blue was fairly common interior color in '87-89 MY.

Hi Erkka,

I'm finding that to be true.

My interior is a hodge-podge of new and old - All with varying shades of Blue. The only original elements in the interior are slightly faded vinyl so it's been a challenge to find a source of the Porsche Blue for that year when they seemed to have several shades across model years. I think i've found the correct one now (used door insert off eBay) and so can go ahead with that as a reference...whew !
