Default reco on tire size, I am dying here

Hi all,

I am bumming as my car has been at the masters for torque tube, tranny and stroker implant since dec and I need to know every ones recommendations on rear tire size. the reason for the build is to have the ultimate open road race vehicle. I am suspecting the best size for power to the ground would be 18x10 carrera's ....does that sound ok.

andy recommendations?

Andy,
I have 18 X 10 et 65 Sport Design with 295/30 X 18's on the rear of my GTS, and they fit great, look fine. They do come out pretty close to the edge of the fender, but there is no interference. I have 18 X 9 et 70 Sport Designs on the front with 255/35 X 18's. Again, no interference, and good tracking/handling.

Another good guy is Andrew Olsen. I have 275's on the rear of my stock 90S4 and they look great.

No spacer and I had them made by Kinesis to the right offset.
IIRC I had to change the studs.
I have the documents somewhere. Jim Mayzurk also had a set made for his GTS.

If you still have the stock Cup 1 (C2 Turbo) 17" wheels you can fit up to a 275/40's Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 on them.

These are about as good as you can get on stock 17" - and are in fact pretty good.
