First Pictures! 18" Panamera wheels on '91 $$$$4
Well, I finally got them on! The 18" factory wheels from the base Panamera that are made by BBS in Germany and are 8x18 (et 59) for front and 9x18 (et 53) for the rear. I shoed these puppies with Hankook Ventus V12 evo 235/40's front and 265/35's on the rear. If I had a super-charged BEAST like Andrew O's '91 GT, I would have gone wider, perhaps, But for just DD street driving I'd rather not have monster tires in the rain. I'm very pleased with the feel and super pleased with the deal: I bought the wheels (take-off with 100 miles) for $595 (including center caps) plus $100 shipping and $650, installed with road hazard warranty for the tires. I was surprised that there was no harshness with the lower profile 18" tires and wished I had done it sooner. Now, If I can just load these pictures (my first time) you'll be able to see them too!
BTW, The car is dirty. Its BLACK! They're always dirty. This summer it gets mucho-neccessary bodywork and a full respray, as well as a replacement interior I've had for 2 years. Then I'll have $20K (in 2 years) into a 12K automobile.

The wheels look great on your car!
The tires come with index marks that the installer is supposed to line up with the valve stems.
The new shoes are so fast, your rear wing blew off. Yahoo!!

Thanks for your comment on the wheels.
Dr. Bob, you must have missed my post a couple years ago "Whacking the Wing". A lot of the DFW gang got the idea and followed through on it too. I'm also "whacking" my rear seat, rear air, rear wiper, the roof antenna and the front and rear side markers. I guess I like whacking off a lot!. I've also got a GTS rear cover and areo mirrors waiting to be installed with the paint job and I'm REAL interested in the new center console mod that Champagne & Co. are developing. Business at my restaurant better start improving though, for that.

Paul,
Great wheels, congrats! Always good to see a factory wheel that will work, because there is a better chance of getting hold of take offs for cheap that way!
Glad you are realistic on your car and also that (like me) you are more than willing to spend the money to make one nice even if you can't get the money back!

Paul,
Looks quite fitting on the 928 and the rear wing delete is growing on me. Let me know how the Hankook Ventus V12 evo's work out. Mine should be on with in the next week.

They look really good on the 928! We've got a P4S due in this month and it has the 18" wheels b/c we didn't like any of the stock upgrades sw we bought a set of 21" HREs and they're in the garage waiting for it. Undecided about what I'm going to do with the stock wheels and you just made it a little harder....

James and Chuck Z: coming from you guys, Masters of the 928 afficianados, mavins and devotees, I am honored by your appreciation of the wheels I bought. In reality (although its REALLY no BFD) I believe mine is the first 928 to use those wheels.........in the WORLD! That's kinda cool but still, really no BFD. I was kinda leaning towards the CS3's and the ones you have Chuck, on your '95; but I think a wheel with more mass looks more balanced on this automobile. I was trolling through fleabay and saw the wheels for about $1200 and a couple weeks later for $600 so I jumped on it. I believe its a great new factory alternative that fits "properly" and looks good too. I'm sure that there will be others soon that will pick them up and enjoy the looks as much as I do. Thanks for your kind words.
