markpaul your amethyst/black combo looks great! As the OP seven years ago about these wheels, I really enjoy seeing more pics of them on the 928 as it really updates the body style a lot. BTW, to anyone who might be interested, I will be selling my set of the ten spokes that were professionally painted (not powder coated) metallic BLACK with matching center caps in a couple weeks. I Just want to have my silver ones re-sprayed in Hyper Silver to give it a little more bling. Price will be $500 plus shipping, packaged in appropriate wheel boxes.

Sure! I used Kiwi Shipping in LA - 737 West Artesia Blvd,Compton CA 90220-5520 Phone 562 295 1350. They're a division of Mainfreight NZ. They were fantastic. My contact to organise it was Victoria Lelo - victoria.lelo@kiwishipping.co.nz, Ph 04 816-5265 (Wellington). The wheels weighed 56kg. Total cost including sea freight, customs entry, import transaction fees and local delivery to my mechanic was $486, but as I imported them through my company I got $182 Import GST back, so total was approx $300 all up.

No. They don't have the senders needed to work with the 928 system.

They won't work with the factory system but they work with aftermarket ones.

My 89 is equipped with one from the PO and it works well.

I think black goes well with Amethyst - not sure if anyone would agree?
The color combination looks FANTASTIC!

You'll like them - especially the front offsets. If you want the rears to take a wider stance and fill the fender wells a bit more, 10 - 15mm spacers would do the trick....but don't go 20mm unless you're ready to do some fender rolling :/

Well spring is around the corner. Time to get some rubber.

I'm thinking of going with:
235/40/18 front (dia 25.4")
275/35/18 rear (dia 25.6")

Slightly taller than stock.

But if anyone thinks the 234/40 up front will require fender rolling a may just with:

225/40/18 front (dia 25.1")
265/35/18 rear (dia 25.3")

I know tire choice will be an issue as well. If I go with a rounder side wall tire like the Continental Contact Sport the 235/40 might fit fine, but If I go with a more square sidewall tire like the Potenza S-04 I;m worried that may not fit.

I have those wheels on my 88 with 235/40/18 on the fronts. Tires are Potenza S04s, no issues with rubbing. Rears are 275/35/18.
