I've got one off my '90 S4 sitting is a box in my basement and I'd be happy to part with it (it's just taking up space). Clutch works fine. I replaced it with a Kuehl (from 928 Specialists / Griffiths: the "A/C Compressor 87-95 Griffiths Kit"; recommended!) about a year ago when I did a major A/C system overhaul.

It probably should be rebuilt before using. I was in a hurry to just get my whole A/C system working like new last year before the 928OC IC in DFW, so I just replaced the compressor (and all the seals, compressor hoses, etc.); not sure exactly what condition the compressor is in.

Porsche does not have any at the moment and the part is special to the 90 & 91 cars.

Hey Ed, if that is a 10PA20C, I wouldn't mind taking that. I'd like to see if I can replace the shaft seal on it. I've done a 6E171A and a bunch of Sandens, but never had the chance to do a 10PA20C before.

Yeah, I think it is (it's at home and I'm at work and I'm not 100% sure).

Sounds like Ole wants it, though (he already PMed me). I don't know if you're interested in it just for experimenting with rebuilding techniques just as a learning experience or actually want to then use it; if it's the former, maybe Ole would want you to rebuild it for him (or at least do a minimal reseal).

Yeah, I was looking at it as a learning experience, since my car has one of those. If it still works well and Ole can use it, then it should go to him.

Thanks all for helping out! Ed and I are working in a deal for his extra AC pump.
For anyone interested in the change in 90 here are a couple pics side by side and one I stole from Rob Edwards's thread on rebuilding an AC unit(thanks Rob)
The smaller pump is from 90-91 and 92 ROW cars. The other is from The Flyin Scotsman(Malcolm) who sent me an extra he had from his 88 S4 just cause he's a great guy.
Note the hose's are just loosely attatched so I could compare.

Why cant you use the other style (the one Malcolm sent you)? If you use the early style mounting bracket I see no reason that it wouldnt work.

Tell me more. I have no idea how it mounts and the AC hoses might not line up.
Remember Colin I have only the exp with my 928.

The bracket looks exactly the same as the others. But it might be slightly different.

Why not see if Malcolms will physically bolt up?
If it does the hoses can always be adapted with IMO not too much trouble.
